Margaret was educated at Queen’s University Belfast graduating in 2002 with a Bachelor of Laws. She subsequently obtained her professional qualifications through the Institute of Professional Legal Studies in Belfast obtaining a Certificate of Professional Legal Studies (distinction) in 2005. Margaret joined McKinty and Wright Solicitors as a Trainee Solicitor in September 2003 and took up a position in the Dispute Resolution and Personal Injury Litigation Department upon qualification. She specialises in defence litigation mainly acting for large insurance companies and insurance agents in the area of personal injury litigation. She has also acted for lending bodies and other commercial institutions in debt recovery work. In addition, Margaret has represented clients in the Magistrates’ Courts particularly, though not exclusively, in relation to road traffic offences. |
