Lester was educated at Queens University Belfast and obtained a Bachelor of Laws degree( LLB) following graduation in 1982.  He qualified as a Solicitor and was entered onto the Roll of Solicitors in Northern Ireland in 1984.  He served his Apprenticeship at McKinty and Wright and has been with the Firm for over 25 years of which the last 15 have been as a Partner.

 

His work comprises the handling of claims for damages on the Defence side, primarily on behalf of Insurers, but also on behalf of self-insured individuals, firms and companies. Included amongst  his case load are Actions relating to  Employers’ Liability, Public Liability, Product Liability and Professional Indemnity claims. He has a particular interest in asbestos-related claims and professional indemnity work for Solicitors.

 

He provides a "cradle to grave" service in keeping with the Firm’s ability to provide a one-stop service. He has considerable experience of investigating claims throughout Northern Ireland, the handling of claims to settlement and taking Actions to the Trial stage in both the County Court and the Queen's Bench and Commercial Divisions of the High Court.
